Remove metadata
Strip EXIF, GPS, IPTC and XMP before sharing. JPEG is cleaned losslessly (no re-compression); other formats are re-encoded via canvas.
This free metadata analyzer reads any file entirely in your browser. Drop an image to reveal everything hidden inside it: pixel dimensions, format, file size, aspect ratio and megapixels, plus the full set of embedded metadata — EXIF camera settings (make, model, lens, exposure, aperture, ISO, focal length, flash), the original capture date, GPS coordinates with a map link, and any IPTC or XMP fields. Drop any other file and you still get its exact type, size and any embedded metadata it carries.
You can also remove all metadata and download a clean copy, which is useful before posting photos online since EXIF often contains the exact GPS location where a picture was taken. JPEG files are cleaned losslessly by stripping their metadata segments without re-compressing the image; other formats are re-drawn through a canvas.
